I have just noticed that I have a three volume paperback edition of Lord of the Rings sitting on my shelf gathering dust. The books are in good condition and look (from down here) like new.

Terry Pratchett's The Science of the Discworld is not a regular Discworld novel. Sure the Wizards of Unseen University are there and there is a narrative (including Rincewind) but there is a fair bit more exposition on the subject of the origin of life from the "big bang" (that's not a porno BTW) to the rise of civilisation.

This is an anthology of Alfred Hitchcock short stories. It's a British first addition hardback published in 1984 but with the copyright year set to 1981. ISBN 0-370-30584-1 (all this leads me to believe that this book was previously published in the USA).
